Inquiry Referral
On 28 November 2024 the Public Accounts Committee received an inquiry referral from the Member for Araluen, the Hon Robyn Lambley MLA, requesting that the committee investigate the rapid and serious deterioration of a network of newly re-sealed roads in the Alice Springs central business district. Terms of Reference
Pursuant to clause 1(e) of the committee’s terms of reference as set out in Standing Order 177, on 12 December the committee resolved to inquire into and report on NT Government Road Works in the Alice Springs CBD with particular regard to:
- procurement processes for the work;
- scope and costings of the work;
- specifications of the work;
- decision-making, management and supervision of the work;
- deterioration of the newly re-sealed roads; and
- any other related matters.
