Last week, I tabled a transcript of a taped conversation, and letters from the former Chief Minister, and asked whether the Country Liberal Party had misused personal and confidential information in election campaigns. The minister has now had 4 days. Has he established whether or not this personal and confidential information was passed from the government to the Country Liberal Party?
ANSWER
Mr Speaker, as I reported last week, I have taken that question on notice and will report to this Assembly by Thursday. The member needs to understand that, when I am asked questions of the seriousness that he implies, I will not answer off the top of my head and allow him to quote back possible inaccuracies to me from Hansard. He will have to wait. I will obtain the information and he will receive a full answer to the question.
