Is it a fact that, as a result of the Treasurer's cutbacks, the Department of Transport and Works has delayed payments of hundreds of thousands of dollars to earthmoving and construction businesses in Alice Springs?

Mr Speaker, I would think not, but the member's question is not specific. Could he nominate some projects that have been delayed, if somebody is suggesting that they have been delayed because of the 2% efficiency cut? Is that the argument? I can give an almost categorical assurance that that is absolutely not true. I know where the 2% savings are coming from in the Department of Transport and Works, and it is not from the construction sector.
