Has there been any reconsideration of the minister's future position as a consent authority for the Gunn Point area, the projected residential subdivision there, the land for the marine park and access across Koolpinyah Station?
ANSWER
Mr Speaker, the matter has been reconsidered. Following discussions with the Litchfield Shire Council and a review, the Litchfield Shire Council has provided certain undertakings in respect of agreements on roads and other matters in the area. I have reviewed the position and advised the department that I will not be proceeding with the application to have the land which includes the Gunn Point excluded from the Litchfield area plan.
