Mr Speaker, the minister would be aware that currently there is only one police patrol vehicle patrolling the roads in Katherine at any one time. Is the minister aware that the Police Association has said that, if this single patrol is tied up with a lengthy job, there is no provision to place another patrol on the road? Does the minister consider it satisfactory to have only one police car patrolling the streets of Katherine, a community of about 10 000 people, day or night? What happens in the event of more than one incident or crime happening at any one time? When can the people of Katherine expect their community to receive more police, which is what they deserve?
