Mr STONE (Asian Relations and Trade): Mr Speaker, I have consulted my diary and am able now to advise members that Prakash Mirchandani approached me some considerable time after the election. I appeared on the 7.30 Report on 16 June. I confirmed that a meeting had been organised prior to that date. In fact, I met with Prakash Mirchandani on 17June and subsequently he wrote to me on 22 June. All of these dates are, of course, well after the election.
The member asked whether I had met Prakash Mirchandani. Of course, I have met him. I have met him at the Parap markets and at functions. Indeed, he introduced himself to me when he first came to the Territory. However, I guess that all of this begs the question somewhat because I am left with the impression that the ALP opposition does not support this government's support of Australia Television.
