Given the strategic economic position of Asia to the future development of the Territory, why won’t you display the courage, integrity and leadership shown by your conservative colleague, Senator Ron Boswell? On Tuesday last week, Senator Boswell stated that he would give his preferences to the Labor Party because of the danger Pauline Hanson posed to Australia. Senator Boswell went on to say that One Nation ‘… will do terrible damage to rural Australia and terrible damage to our exports’.
So, Chief Minister, how can you deliver jobs for Territorians through encouraging gas sales to Asia and attracting Asian investors to overcome the shortfall in investment in the Alice Springs to Darwin railway when you have said in here last week that you will give your preferences to One Nation?

Mr Speaker, when it comes to my electorate and how the electors of Brennan vote, it would be helpful if they had some choice. If there is a Labor candidate, once we find out if there is a Labor candidate, hopefully, they will have some choice.
