Why has the CLP dumped the $30m Alice Springs Hospital project it promised during the last election campaign?

Mr Speaker, this seems to be like another dumb question they’re asking. The member for Stuart is well aware of negotiations that are occurring at the moment with the minister for health to do with the proposals that are coming in about the privatisation of management of the Alice Springs Hospital. This has obviously been put on hold until we can get the result of what the proposals are going to be. We would be silly to continue down this line until we see what exactly comes in and the result of what is happening with negotiations with the minister.
