This is one of the easy ones relating to the power failures over the past 6 weeks. We expect the minister to be able to provide an answer for Territorians, especially those in the Top End. Can he confirm that there is a high turnover of staff at the Power and Water Authority? Is it not true that 18 people have occupied the position of northern regional manager in 10 years? What effect has this high rate of staff turnover had on the workings of the authority? Is it a fact that the northern regional manager’s office is known as ‘the departure lounge’?

Mr POOLE: You would not know how many press secretaries have been through the Leader of the Opposition’s office in the last 5 years. I reckon there would be more than 18. In fact, if you want to go back 10 years, how many Leaders of the Opposition have we had?
