1. MEETING:
The Assembly met at 10.00 a.m., pursuant to adjournment. The Speaker, the Honourable N.M. Dondas, took the Chair.

2. PRAYERS.

3. MESSAGE FROM THE ADMINISTRATOR:
The Speaker read the following Message from His Honour the Administrator -

Message No. 17

I, KEITH JOHN AUSTIN ASCHE, the Administrator of the Northern Territory of Australia, in pursuance of section 11
of the Northern Territory (Self-Government) Act 1978 of the Commonwealth, recommend to the Legislative Assembly a Bill
for an Act entitled Northern Territory Treasury Corporation Act, which in part provides for the appropriation of money
from the Consolidated Fund to guarantee payment of the obligations of the Northern Territory Treasury Corporation
to investors.

4. PETITION:
The Deputy Leader of the Opposition (Mr Bailey) presented a petition from 650 citizens of the Northern Territory
requesting the Assembly to support an independent incorporated Aboriginal education authority to enable the
Northern Territory Aboriginal Education Consultative Group to work more effectively and efficiently.
Petition read.

5. QUESTIONS:
Questions were asked of Ministers.
Paper tabled: The Member for Millner (Mr Parish), by leave, laid on the Table the following Paper -

Australian Securities Commission, 1992 Annual Return of a company - Darwin International Hotels Pty Ltd, ACN 009 622 860,
dated 16 November 1992.

Further questions were asked of Ministers.
Paper tabled: The Treasurer (Mr Coulter) laid on the Table the following Paper -

Table of Labor Policy Costings and attached notes.

Further questions were asked of Ministers.
Supplementary answers: Supplementary answers were given to questions asked by the Member for Millner and the Member for
Nelson.

6. FILMING IN THE CHAMBER:
The Speaker advised Members that he had given approval for SBS Television to film in the Chamber to update file footage
and for Channel 8 and the ABC to film the Leader of the Opposition's reply to the Treasurer's Budget speech.

7. APPROPRIATION BILL 1994-1995 (Serial 330):
The order of the day having been read for the resumption of the debate on the question - That the Bill be now read a
second time -
Debate resumed.
On the motion of the Leader of Government Business (Mr Setter) debate was adjourned.
