The Assembly met at 10am. The Speaker, the Honourable Kezia Purick took the Chair.

    3. CHIEF MINISTER'S STATEMENT
        Mr Giles (Chief Minister) made a statement regarding the passing of Mr Frank McGuiness, former Auditor-General of the Northern Territory.
    4. No Confidence of the assembly
        Ms Lawrie (Leader of Opposition) pursuant to notice, moved – That this Assembly express 'that the Government no longer possesses the confidence of the Assembly'.

        Debate ensued.

    6. NOTICES
        The following notices were given:

        1. Mr McCarthy (Member for Barkly) will move on the next General Business day - that this Assembly call on the Member for Braitling to resign as Chief Minister.

        2. Ms Lawrie (Member for Karama) will move on the next General Business day - that this Legislative Assembly calls on the Northern Territory Government to immediately establish an interagency Taskforce of Police, Health and Children and Families to report in six weeks on actions that can be taken to tackle the ice epidemic.

        And that this Legislative Assembly calls on the Northern Territory Government to incorporate an ice room in the existing Emergency Department construction at Royal Darwin Hospital.

        3. Ms Fyles (Member for Nightcliff) will move on the next General Business day - that this Assembly recognises the Community is calling on the CLP Government to listen and rule out the development of a man-made island in our harbour.

        4. Mrs Price (Minister for Local Government and Regions) will present on the next sitting day a bill entitled – Local Government Legislation Amendment Bill 2015 (Serial 116).

        On the motion of Mr Elferink (Attorney-General and Minister for Justice), by leave, the Bill was read a third time and was passed to be a proposed law.
    10. MINISTERIAL STATEMENT – A New Direction for Vocational Education and Training – MOTION TO NOTE
        Mr Styles (Minister for Employment and Training) made a statement regarding changes to better support the needs and expectations of business and industry.

        Mr Styles moved – That the Assembly take note of the Statement.

        On the motion of Mr McCarthy (Member for Barkly) debate was adjourned.
    11. ADJOURNMENT
        Mr Elferink (Leader of Government Business) moved - That the Assembly do now adjourn.
