1. MEETING:
      The Assembly met at 10am. The Speaker, the Honourable J. L. Aagaard, took the Chair.

3. LEAVE OF ABSENCE - MR VATSKALIS - MOTION AGREED TO:
      The Leader of Government Business (Mr Henderson) moved - That leave of absence be granted to the Minister for Business and Economic Development (Mr Vatskalis) for today and tomorrow.

4. LEAVE OF ABSENCE - MS CARNEY - MOTION AGREED TO:
      The Deputy Leader of the Opposition (Mr Mils) moved - That leave of absence be granted to the Leader of the Opposition (Ms Carney) for today and tomorrow.

5. PETITIONS:
      The Member for Nelson (Mr Wood), by leave, presented petition No. 62, not conforming with Standing Orders, from 172 petitioners relating to the amalgamation of the Litchfield Shire Council (Paper 900).

      The Clerk, pursuant to Standing Order 100A, laid on the Table the following response to petition Number 53, relating to access and parking at the Berry Springs Service Station (Paper 901).

      BassintheGrass: The Chief Minister (Ms Martin) reported on the conduct of the BassintheGrass concert in Darwin.

      Securing Fishing Stocks: The Minster for Primary Industry and Fisheries (Mr Natt) reported on strategies for securing fishing stocks in the Territory.
