- The Speaker advised Honourable Members of the presence in the gallery of Darwin High School Senior Intensive English Unit.
On behalf of all Members the Speaker extended a warm welcome to the visitors.
- The Speaker made a statement regarding:
1. Completion of the 2015 Members' Survey; and
2. Conduct of media in the Press Gallery on 18 November 2015.
- Mr Giles (Chief Minister), pursuant to notice, presented a Bill for an Act to make special provision for the North East Gas Interconnector Pipeline Project.
Bill read a first time.
Mr Giles moved - That the Bill be now read a second time.

- Mr Giles (Chief Minister) pursuant to notice, moved – That so much of Standing Orders be suspended as would prevent the North East Gas Interconnector Pipeline (Special Provisions) Bill 2015 (Serial 143) passing through all stages during the December sittings.

- Resumption of debate on the question – That the Assembly agree to the new Standing Orders at Annexure A of the report, and that they take effect from 1 December 2015.

Ms Fyles moved the following amendment –

1. Suspend the operation of Standing Order 117, and

Such statements when circulated are to be treated with confidence.
