    1. MEETING:
    The Assembly met at 10am. The Speaker, the Honourable J. L. Aagaard, took the Chair.

        I, SALLY THOMAS AM, the Administrator of the Northern Territory of Australia, advise the Legislative Assembly of, pursuant to section 7 of the Northern Territory (Self-Government Act) 1978 of the Commonwealth, the assent to the following proposed laws:

    4. PERSONAL EXPLANATION:
        The Chief Minister (Mr Henderson) made a personal explanation in relation to information he provided during debate on the Kenbi Land Trust Bill 2011 on Thursday 24 November 2011.

    5. SUSPENSION OF STANDING ORDERS – RECOMMITTAL, KENBI LAND TRUST BILL 2011 (Serial 175) - NEGATIVED:
        The Member for Port Darwin (Mr Elferink), by leave, moved – That so much of Standing Orders be suspended as would prevent the Kenbi Land Trust Bill 2011 (Serial 170) being recommitted for further consideration at the Committee stage examination of the Bill due to misinformation being given at the time to Members.
        Debate ensued.
        The Leader of Government Business (Dr Burns) moved – That the question be now put.

          Mr Giles: To move – That the Northern Territory government condemns the Gillard government for their second intervention which overturns Territory rights and removes responsibility from the duly elected Northern Territory government and disenfranchises the people of the Northern Territory.

        11. INDIGENOUS DEVELOPMENT, STRONG FAMILIES, STRONG COMMUNITIES – STATEMENT NOTED:

        12. ANSWER TO QUESTION – HEADS OF AGREEMENT SIGNATORIES, KENBI LAND CLAIM:
            The Chief Minister (Mr Henderson) provided an answer to a question asked earlier this day by the Member for Blain (Mr Mills) and similar questions by the Member for Fong Lim (Mr Tollner) relating to the signatory on the Heads of Agreement to the Kenbi Land Claim.
        13. SUPPORTING TERRITORIANS – MINISTERIAL STATEMENT - MOTION TO NOTE STATEMENT:
            The Treasurer (Ms Lawrie) made a statement relating to supporting programs for Territorians.
            Ms Lawrie moved – That the Assembly take note of the Statement.
            Debate ensued.
            On the motion of the Leader of Government Business (Dr Burns) debate was adjourned.

        14. MATTER OF PUBLIC IMPORTANCE – MEDICAL ENDURING POWERS OF ATTORNEY AND LIVING WILLS:
            The Speaker advised the Assembly the Member for Port Darwin (Mr Elferink) had proposed the following definite Matter of Public Importance for discussion this day:
                The current state of tourism and related businesses in and around Alice springs.

            The proposed discussion having received the necessary support –
            Discussion ensued.
            Discussion concluded.

        15. ADJOURNMENT:
            The Leader of Government Business (Dr Burns) moved – That the Assembly do now adjourn.
