1. MEETING:
The Assembly met at 10.00 a.m., pursuant to adjournment. The Speaker, the Honourable N.M. Dondas, took the Chair.
2. PRAYERS.
3. PETITIONS:
Mr Bell presented a petition from 28 citizens of the Northern Territory requesting the Assembly to recognise the
detriment to the quality of education for Northern Territory children that proposed reductions in educational
services will have and to reverse these decisions.
Petition read.
Mr Stirling presented a petition from 20 citizens of the Northern Territory in similar terms to the petition
presented by Mr Bell.
Mr Lanhupuy presented a petition from 9 citizens of the Northern Territory in similar terms to the petition
presented by Mr Bell.
Mr Tipiloura presented a petition from 15 citizens of the Northern Territory in similar terms to the petition
presented by Mr Bell.
Mr Palmer presented a petition from 3227 citizens of the Northern Territory requesting the Assembly to arrange
for an inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the disappearance of Norman James Lawson.

Code of Conduct, when determined, should be tabled in the Assembly.

9. COMMONWEALTH/TERRITORY HEALTH FUNDING - MINISTERIALSTATEMENT - STATEMENT NOTED:
The Minister for Health and Community Services (Mr Manzie) made a statement relating to the failure of the Federal Government to
maintain a reasonable level of funding to the States and Territories for hospital and health services.
Mr Manzie moved - That the Assembly take note of the Statement.

10. WORK HEALTH AMENDMENT BILL (No.2) 1991 (Serial 83):
The Minister for Lands and Housing (Mr Ortmann), pursuant to notice, presented a Bill for an Act to amend the Work Health Act.
