- Economic Development Strategy 2002/2004: The Chief Minister (Ms Martin) reported on development of and improvements to the business environment made to develop economic drivers for the Territory economy.
Mr Mills responded thereto.

School visits by Minister: The Minister for Employment, Education and Training (Mr Stirling) reported on his visits to various primary and secondary schools throughout the Territory, their educational programs and community participation.

Health Spending Priorities: The Minister for Health (Dr Toyne) reported on health spending priorities within the Health and Community Services budget.
Ms Carney responded thereto.
Dr Toyne responded accordingly.
Spanish Mackerel Gene Tagging: The Minister for Primary Industry and Fisheries (Mr Vatskalis) reported on a review of the Spanish Mackerel Management Plan to improve management of fish stocks for recreational and professional fishers using conventional tagging regimes and the newly development gene tagging process.
Mrs Miller responded thereto.
Mr Vatskalis responded accordingly.

4. AUSTRALASIA RAILWAY (SPECIAL PROVISIONS) AMENDMENT BILL 2004 (Serial 258):
- The Chief Minister (Ms Martin), pursuant to notice, presented a Bill for an Act to amend the AustralAsia Railway (Special Provisions) Act.

5. SENTENCING AMENDMENT (ABORIGINAL CUSTOMARY LAW) BILL 2004 (Serial 254):
- The Minister for Justice and Attorney-General (Dr Toyne), pursuant to notice, presented a Bill for an Act to amend the Sentencing Act.

- The Minister for Primary Industry and Fisheries (Mr Vatskalis), pursuant to notice, presented a Bill for an Act to apply the Gene Technology Act 2000 and the Gene Technology (Licence Charges) Act 2000of the commonwealth as a law of the Territory and for related purposes.
