5. MINISTERIAL REPORTS:
- Women in Business: The Minister for Business, Industry and Resource Development (Mr Henderson) made a report on the participation of women in business opportunities in the Territory and Business Women of the Year Awards 2002.
Ms Carney responded thereto.
Mr Henderson responded accordingly.
- Master Games, Alice Springs: The Minister for Sport and Recreation (Mr Ah Kit) made a report on the conduct of and numbers of participating athletes registered for the 2002 Alice Springs Masters Games.
Mr Mills responded thereto.
Mr Ah Kit responded accordingly.
Tobacco Legislation: The Minister for Community Development (Mrs Aagaard) made a report on proposed reform of the Northern Territory Tobacco Act.
Mr Dunham responded thereto.

- The Leader of Government Business (Mr Stirling) moved – That, at the sitting of the Assembly on Thursday 19 September 2002, after Routine Business Petitions and Notices, intervening business be postponed until after:
(a) consideration of the Report of the Estimates Committee in Committee of the Whole and the remaining stages of the Appropriation Bill 2002/2003, in accordance with the resolution of the Assembly dated 20 August 2002; and
(b) Government Business Notices and Orders of the day.
