- The Member for Nelson (Mr Wood) presented petition No. 53, not conforming with Standing Orders, from 588 petitioners relating to vehicle access through and parking on the front boundary of Berry Springs Service Station (Paper 808).

- Renewable Remote Power Generation Program: The Minister for Mines and Energy (Mr Natt) reported on the Rebates for Renewable Remote Power Generation Program operating under a scheme administered by the Commonwealth and the Territory governments.
Mrs Miller responded.

Daly River Environmental Monitoring: The Minister for Natural Resources, Environment and Heritage (Ms Scrymgour) reported on progress in the monitoring of the land and water environment of the Daly River and its catchment.

Backpacker Development Plan: The Minister for Tourism (Mr Henderson) reported on a Tourism NT Backpacker Development Plan promotional activities.

- The Minister for Justice and Attorney-General (Mr Stirling), pursuant to notice, presented a Bill for an Act to amend various Acts administered by the Minister for Justice and Attorney-General, and for related purposes.

And the Leader of the Opposition (Ms Carney) moved a motion to suspend so much of Standing Orders as would prevent her moving a motion to censure the Chief Minister (Ms Martin), the Leader of Government Business (Mr Henderson) and the current Minister for Police (Dr Burns) for lying to Territorians about police numbers -
The Leader of Government Business (Mr Henderson) informed the Assembly that the government accepted the motion as a censure motion, pursuant to Standing Order 95.
The Leader of Government Business (Mr Henderson) asked that further questions be placed on the Written Question Paper.
- The Leader of the Opposition (Ms Carney) thereupon moved - That the Assembly censure the Chief Minister (Ms Martin), the Leader of Government Business (Mr Henderson) and the current Minister for Police (Dr Burns) for lying to Territorians about police numbers and resources dedicated to keeping our streets safe. (Paper 814)

- The Minister for Business and Economic Development (Mr Vatskalis) made a statement relating to the importance of Northern Territory Business embracing research and development and innovation initiatives to stay competitive in a global market.
Mr Vatskalis moved - That the Assembly take note of the Statement.

Extension of time: On the motion of the Member for Goyder (Mr Warren) the Minister for Local Government (Mr McAdam) was granted an extension of time.

- The Minister for Infrastructure and Transport (Ms Lawrie) made a statement relating to the Territory's construction sector having a key driving effect on the economy.
