4. MINISTERIAL REPORTS:
- Trade Mission to Japan and China: The Chief Minister (Mr Henderson) reported on his and the Territory trade mission delegation to Japan and China to promote investment and trade opportunities in the Territory's expanding LNG gas industry.

NT Children's Commissioner: The Minister for Child Protection (Ms Scrymgour) reported on the appointment of the NT Children's Commissioner.

- The Minister for Employment, Education and training (Ms Scrymgour), pursuant to notice, presented a Bill for an Act to amend the Electrical Workers and Contractors Act.

Answers to Questions: The Deputy Chief Minister (Ms Scrymgour) provided further information to a question asked by the Member for Nelson (Mr Wood) earlier this day relating to his question on Closing the Gap on Indigenous disadvantage.

- The Treasurer (Ms Lawrie) laid on the Table the Power and Water Corporation Statement of Corporate Intent 2008/2009 (Paper 1312).
Ms Lawrie made a statement relating thereto.
Ms Lawrie moved - That the Power and Water Corporation Statement of Corporate Intent 2008/2009 be referred for consideration by the Government Owned Corporations Scrutiny Committee to be established to examine the 2008/2009 operations of the Power and Water Corporation.
