- The Speaker advised Members of the presence in the Speaker's Gallery of Mr Neville Perkins OAM, former Member for Macdonnell and Deputy Labor Leader in the Northern Territory Legislature from 1977 to 1981.
On behalf of all Members the Speaker extended a warm welcome to the distinguished visitor.

- Australian Wilderness Tours: The Chief Minister (Ms Martin) reported on the sale of Odyssey Tours and Safaris to Australian Wilderness Tours which is registered and based in New South Wales.

Desert Knowledge Australia: The Minister for Regional Development (Mr Henderson) reported on Desert Knowledge Australia and their program of business networks development and job opportunities for the Central Australian region.

Darwin Harbour Advisory Committee, Report: The Minister for Natural Resources, Environment and Heritage (Ms Scrymgour) reported on the actions taken in response to a report from the Darwin Harbour Advisory Committee detailing management arrangements for Darwin Harbour.

Procurement Guidelines Framework: The Minister for Corporate and Information Services (Dr Burns) reported on the release of new Procurement Guidelines and training framework practices for the purchase of goods and services and payment of government creditors.

- The Minister for Racing, Gaming and Licensing (Mr Stirling), pursuant to notice, presented a Bill for an Act to amend the Racing and Betting Act.
