- The Speaker advised Members of the presence in the Speaker's Gallery of -
Family and friends of Mr Alf Chittock; and
the former Member for Stuart, Dr Toyne.
On behalf of all Members the Speaker extended a warm welcome to the distinguished visitors.
- The Chief Minister (Mr Henderson), pursuant to notice, moved - That this Assembly,
(a) express its deep regret at the death of Mr Alf Chittock, a long term resident and former Mayor of Tennant Creek; and
The Chief Minister (Mr Henderson) addressed the Assembly.
The Leader of the Opposition (Mr Mills) addressed the Assembly.

- Waterfront Project Update: The Chief Minister (Mr Henderson) reported on construction progress of the Darwin Waterfront Precinct Project.

Holiday Mojo: The Minister for Tourism (Mr Vatskalis) reported on a new tourism advertising marketing strategy Holiday Mojo and other media events to promote Territory tourism and lifestyle.

Mt Todd Rehabilitation: The Minister for Mines and Energy (Mr Natt) reported on Territory government management and rehabilitation of the environmental issues on the Mt Todd mine site.

- The Minister for Infrastructure and Transport (Ms Lawrie) made a statement relating to the need to focus on infrastructure in the Territory to develop our economy, improve employment opportunities, encourage growth and deliver services to improve the quality of life for future generations.
