- The Assembly met at 10am. The Speaker, the Honourable J. L. Aagaard, took the Chair.

3. MINE VICTIMS, GREYMOUTH NEW ZEALAND - MARK OF RESPECT:
- The Speaker asked Members to observe a one minute of silence for the victims of the mine collapse, Greymouth, New Zealand.
Members stood in their places for one minute in silence.
- The Leader of Government Business (Dr Burns) moved – That leave of absence be granted to the Member for Karama (Ms Lawrie) for Thursday, 25 November 2010.

5. LEAVE OF ABSENCE - MEMBER FOR KATHERINE – MOTION AGREED TO:

- The Member for Goyder (Ms Purick) presented Petition No. 47 from 328 petitioners relating to rural cycle/walk paths along Virginia, Lowther, Bees Creek and Wells Creek Roads (Paper 1096).

- The Minister for Natural Resources, Environment and Heritage (Mr Hampton), pursuant to notice, presented a Bill for an Act to establish a beverage container deposit scheme and to regulate the supply of plastic bags.

Answer to Questions:
The Chief Minister (Mr Henderson) gave further information in response to a Question asked yesterday by the member for Braitling (Mr Giles) re movement of people from Yuendumu to Adelaide; and
The Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Natural Resources (Mr Hampton) gave further information in response to a question re the Telegraph Station asked by the Member for Macdonnell (Ms Anderson).

Suspension of Member: The Member for Greatorex (Mr Conlan) having been warned by the Speaker about his unruly interjections and then having continued to loudly interject -
The Speaker (Mrs Aagaard) thereupon ordered the Member for Greatorex (Mr Conlan) to withdraw from the Chamber for a period of one hour, pursuant to Standing Order 240A, effective from 3.09pm.
Accordingly the Member for Greatorex (Mr Conlan) withdrew from the Chamber.
