Sport and Recreation funding for financial year 2003/2004 for Kaltukatjara Community Council Aboriginal Corporation (Docker River Community) under Local Government Bodies Grant Developing Your Community is $25,000.

The outcome statement for Docker River approved by the Minister is, "Organised activities for the young unemployed people on this remote community with further development of sustainable youth programs and more involvement from local people. Local Anangu people will be trained to assist with many of the activities".

The community makes the decision about how best to achieve this outcome, in this instance the outcomes are being achieved through the: "employment of a suitable person(s) to coordinate the provision of appropriate sport and recreation opportunities within the local community in line with Office of Sport and Recreation and Council objectives".

Sport and Recreation funding for financial year 2003/2004 for Docker River under the Grass Roots Development Grant is $1,300.

Grass Roots funding is made available twice in each financial year. Organisations can only receive one Grass Roots Grant per financial year. Therefore, Docker River will be eligible to apply for further Grass Roots funding in the 2004/2005 financial year. Applications for that year close on 31 August 2004.
