I would be grateful if you would provide the answer to the following question in relation to the Justice Department's Budget for 2004-05. In order to assist you, please note that this question relates to output group: 1.0 Legal Services (1.4: Office of the DPP).

1. In the financial year ‘2002-2003, the principal penalty for the 16% of drug offences was an actual term of imprisonment: (Source: Crime Statistics Dec quarter, p87) [This is a very low percentage]

What is the principal penalty for drug offences resulting in a term of imprisonment for the 2003-04 year to date.
