Crime Prevention Grants SchemeMs Carney to MINISTER for Justice and Attorney-GeneralQUESTION I would be grateful if you would provide the answers to the following questions in relation to the Justice Department's Budget for 2004-05. In order to assist you, please note that this question relates to output group: 4.0 Community Services (4.6: Office of Crime Prevention).1. Please provide the following information in relation to the Crime Prevention Grants scheme:
(a) How many rounds of applications were there in 2003-04 and how many are anticipated in 2004-05;
(b) How many applications were received in 2003-04 and how many are expected in 2004-05;
(c) Of the applications received, how many were successful in 2003-04;
(d) Please provide a list of all grants paid in 2003-04;
(e) Do performance measures exist to monitor the programs, plans and initiatives included in the successful applications, and if so, what are they;
(f) If performance measures/indicators do exist, who monitors the performance of successful applicants, and is this information available to Territorians;
(g) Have any organisations which have received grants been required to return grant monies for failure to complete projects, programs or initiatives that formed the basis of applications;
(h) How many of the grants provided in 2003-04 were provided to organisations in urban areas, and how many were provided to organisations in remote areas; and
(i) Of the grants provided in 2003-04, how many were provided to organisations in electorates held by Labor Members of the Legislative Assembly, and how many held by CLP Members of the Legislative Assembly.
