QUESTION
- 1. There are a significant number of ex-employees of the Victorian and New South Wales Labor governments in the market place for positions of employment:
- (a) Could you please advise, as of 28 February 2011:
- (i) how many persons are employed as contract ministerial advisers;
(ii) how many were recruited as residents in the Northern Territory; and
(iii) how many were recruited from interstate; and
- (b) For each of the months of November and December 2010 and January and February 2011, how many contract employees commenced.

QUESTION
1. There are a significant number of ex-employees of the Victorian and New South Wales Labor governments in the market place for positions of employment:

(ii) how many were recruited as residents in the Northern Territory; and
(iii) how many were recruited from interstate; and
(b) For each of the months of November and December 2010 and January and February 2011, how many contract employees commenced.
ANSWER
The matters referred to in the question do not fall within the portfolio responsibilities of the Minister for Public Employment. As you would be aware, Ministerial Advisers are employed under the Contracts Act with the contract of employment between the Department of the Chief Minister and the employee.
However, to assist you, on behalf of the Chief Minister I can advise the following:
