QUESTION

    1. How much diesel has PAWA purchased to provide an alternate fuel reserve to power PAWA installations in the event that there is a disruption to the supply of gas since 1 July 2007.

    2. What was the total purchase price of the reserve diesel stock. Would you provide this detail by power station in the Alice Springs and Darwin regions.

    Purchases at Channel Island are a direct response to providing alternate fuel reserve in the event of disruption to gas supply. Alice Springs can and do use distillate during normal operations. The distillate is purchased under existing and expired contracts, the terms of which are commercial in confidence.
