2. Executive Staffing, Executive Contract and Executive Officers

QUESTION
Would you kindly provide a list of all executive level staff, Executive Contract and Executive Officers, broken down by level for the Department of Health and Community Services for the years 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008.

The following table shows the data requested. Please note that the data represents ‘nominal’ positions held, and does not include officers acting on higher duties in executive positions which may be temporarily vacant due to the absence of the nominal occupant. This avoids double counting of positions, and is the standard way the Office of the Commissioner for Public Employment counts executive positions held.
Please note also that there are a number of medical specialists who are employed on an executive contract and these are listed separately.
