QUESTION
    Could the Minister provide details of all expenditure, support and assistance for non-Territory film and television productions, and a comparison with the level of support given to Territory based film and television production since 2001.

Answered on 29/10/2007
    The Northern Territory Film Office was established in 2003–04. Prior to that, assistance to Territory based film and television production was through the general arts grants program.

    Assistance to non-Territory based film and television production:

    2001 – 2002: Nil

    2002 – 2003: Nil

    2003 – 2004: Nil

    2004 – 2005: The Alice – television series
    Financial assistance - $330 000
    In kind – general assistance
            Ten Canoes – feature film production
    Financial assistance – Nil

    Rogue – feature film production
