QUESTION
    Minister your Government announced they had hired Mr Patrick Dodson to lead a community engagement process to consult widely so as to frame an outstations policy:

    1. Was this process subject to a tender process.

    2. How much is being paid to the company involved.

    3. Were any other persons or companies invited to tender for this community engagement process.

    Minister your Government announced they had hired Mr Patrick Dodson to lead a community engagement process to consult widely so as to frame an outstations policy:

    1. Was this process subject to a tender process?

    Period contract D08-0127, Community Engagement Services, was put out to public tender 29 May 2008. Three companies tendered for the contract.
    SOCOM was the successful contractor.

    Mr Patrick Dodson has been subcontracted by SOCOM to assist in engaging the community in the development of the Outstation policy.


    2. How much is being paid to the company involved?

    SOCOM have quoted for the development of the Community Engagement Plan, the facilitation of the 18 workshops in December and the delivery of report, at a cost of $104 090.


    3. Were any other persons or companies invited to tender for this community engagement process?

    SOCOM has been selected, through a public tender process, as the period contractor for Community Engagement Services to DCM.
