QUESTION
    In relation to the Titles Division, in the 2009 year:

    1. How many applications were received for all mining related tenements and further:
        (a) How many applications were received for mining exploration (EL) tenements;

        (b) How many applications were received for extractive mining (EML and EMP) tenements; and

        (c) How many applications were received for mining (ML) tenements

    2. How many applications were received for petroleum tenements.

    3. How many applications were received for geothermal tenements.

    As at 1 April 2010:

    1. How many applications for mining related tenements had not been granted and further:
        (a) How many applications for mining exploration (EL) tenements had not been granted;

        (b) How many applications for extractive mining (EML and EMP) tenements had not been granted; and

        (c) How many applications for mining tenements (ML) had not been granted.
    2. How many applications for petroleum tenements had not been granted.

    3. How many applications for geothermal tenements had not been granted.

    4. In addition as at 1 April 2010, please advise, for the years 2006, 2007 and 2008, how many mining related tenement applications had not been granted.

    5. Further, as of 1 April 2010:
        (a) How many extractive mineral tenement applications and granted extractive mineral titles were –
          i Within town boundaries;

          ii Within an area zoned for urban or urban rural land use; and

          iii Within an area identified for future urban or urban rural use.

1.How many applications were received for all mining related tenements?
A total of 636 applications were received.
(a)Applications received Mining Exploration (Exploration Licence - EL) tenements504

1.How many applications for mining tenements that have not been granted?
A total of 1207 applications are being assessed.
(a)Applications for Mining Exploration (EL) tenements which had not been granted, (including 200 in moratorium)1048
