ANSWER
When answering please return 2 copies to The Clerk of the Legislative Assembly

The development of the Central Darwin Land Use Objectives and consequential amendments to the Darwin Town Plan have included Stuart Park redevelopment proposals. This is part of the continuing Departmental work in the development of Land Use Objectives using internal Departmental resources and costings cannot be attributed specifically to Stuart Park. The Central Darwin Land Use objectives included the Central Business District of Darwin, Myilly Point, Frances Bay, the Railway Dam area as well as the Woolner area.

The only specific costings to date are:

1996/97 $221,000 was spent on the Woolner Road realignment with $200,000 advanced to PAWA for street lighting and $21,000 spent on the design brief.
