Parap Primary School - Refurbishment
Why has the Parap Primary School not been allocated money in the 1999-2000 Budget to refurbish and redevelop its 40 year old buildings.
ANSWER
The Department has supported a submission from the Parap Primary School Council seeking 1999/2000 Design List status.
All 1999/2000 Design List submissions will be considered by the Capital Works Review Sub-Committee of the Coordination Committee before being submitted to Government in June 1999.
Funds will be provided when Capital Works status is achieved, that is, when the Parap Primary School Council’s proposal seeking 1999/2000 Design List status is admitted to the Department of Education’s Approved Design List.
